When I take the “clutter” off the gospel I do not see Calvinism.

Y’all using too many words. I’m halfway through and have no idea what Calvinism and reformation is. Y’all keep talking about covenant theology and dispensationalism. Please, make a five min video and simplify the difference. Make a chart maybe with the difference.

As important as this question is (where is Jesus in my suffering) and as much compassion as we should have for those who are in a dark place, I think the more pressing question, especially in America today, is: "where are WE in CHRIST'S suffering?" Many, many people want Jesus to comfort them and alleviate their suffering. And he wants to do that for us. But not many are participating in HIS suffering. And if they would take up their own cross, preach his message, obey his commands, and take the difficulties that come as a result, they would find themselves strengthened in ways they did not think possible. Jesus said in John 14 that it's the one who keeps his commandments and who keeps his word that loves him. That person will have the Spirit, and Jesus and his Father will come and make their home with that person (John 14:15 forward). And Paul said that we will be heirs with Jesus if we suffer with him (Romans 8:17).

Isn’t Assemblies of God heavy with Law? I was involved with a ministry for 2 1/2 yrs that was AoG and it was all about you being committed to the Lord, going to church every Sunday, and this is how you give glory to God, being committed by what you do.

The problem I have with the IFB is the rampant insensitivity toward the blind and visually impaired the movement produces. They tell you that a KJV Bible is absolutely necessary for spiritual growth, but none of them are willing to provide KJV Bibles in Braille. Bible apps are usually not accessible to those of us who use screen readers, but if I say that, they’ll say I’m making excuses for why blind believers don’t read the Bible. There also seems to be a stigma surrounding blind believers having assurance of salvation and growing spiritually in that environment.

Amen! Brothers and sister in Christ, if you are truly trusting in Him you can have assurance of your salvation. There is no one on earth who could ever claim to have reached a place of acceptable self righteousness to merit entrance into the Kingdom. This would mean that this said individual could then claim or boast to have the necessary minimum obedience required for salvation. Ask yourself this question, does this sound biblical? Trust in Christ alone for salvation, our love for God will have a sanctifying effect on our lives but this is a separate issue all together. God Bless 😁

Game changing understanding for me was realizing it’s not my faith that saves me, nor justifies me; but rather? The faith of Christ! Galatians 2:16- Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. When I am weak He is strong!

With all due respect, this is one area where your Lutheran brethren would have sharp disagreement with you. The command context (your second, our first) is clear that WORSHIP of images is forbidden. Images were used in the tabernacle and the temple, but nobody at that time thought to bow to them. Also, the first real objection to icons/images in the church did not come until the 6th century, hundreds of years after they had been used since basically the inception of the church. I'm sorry, but apart from over-reading into the biblical texts, I don't see justification for forbidding images. I have no love for the show "The Chosen," but there are far greater problems with it than whether or not Jesus Christ is depicted as a real human being with real flesh and bones.

Personally I think these things sound like excuses. I think Jesus meant exactly what he said. The problem doesn't lie with what he said, when he told us that we could move objects with our faith and heal others with our faith. The problem lies with our faith. Jesus did not characterize faith as an on-off switch. He characterized it as a degree of size. He said if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could turn to a mountain until it to move and it would obey you, or you could turn to a tree and tell it to uproot itself and plant itself in the sea, and it would obey you or you could turn to a fig tree and tell it to wither, and it would obey you. And what did he say was the prerequisite? He said that you must believe without doubting. How many of us doubt even before we begin to do one of these actions he says we are capable of doing? And how many of us doubt as we're attempting the thing? And how many of us doubt even after the thing begins to occur? And how many of us doubt even after the thing has already occurred? We are like doubting machines. We are experts at doubting! And that does not bode well for our ability to accomplish the miraculous feats he says we are capable of doing by believing without doubting. So I believe the entire issue may just come down to a very simple thing: we suck at exercising faith. We think we are doing faith, but subconsciously we don't really believe what we're about to do. So I think what's going on here may come down to the fact that subconsciously we lack faith to an immeasurably large degree. And that's probably why Jesus characterized a small amount of faith as being the size of a mustard seed and that amount of faith being able to move a mountain from here to there. That means the natural level of faith we have on an average day is far far far less in size than a mustard seed. And therefore we get just that amount of effect when we try to do something miraculous

People trying to be made holy by the ministry of condemnation! Been there, done that. Accepting Jesus as my salvation, sanctification & justification is the best thing that has ever happened to my conscience.

with all love and respect if prophecy is the foretelling of future events and these events are written in the bible but as they happen you read about them in the newspaper, how else would you "watch" for christ except by watching what is happening in the world and comparing it to what the bible says is going to happen? as I study eschatology I realized that this idea that we shouldn't look at what is happening in the world never mattered much at all, unless you are the people living in the end time. again respectfully, it sounds as if you are scoffing at those who keep an eye on what the UN is doing, or what is happening withe the red heifers and how that could affect a peace agreement, that if you are watching, could end up being 7 years and dividing the land of israel as in joel. if al this happens and you are not watching, what happens to you and those who follow you?
